The Hyundai HX40A is a compact hydraulic excavator equipped with a low-emission Tier 4 Final compliant diesel engine. It offers efficient operation and increased power in confined spaces. The HX40A received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, recognizing outstanding industrial designs worldwide, along with the HX35AZ and HX48AZ. The excavators were honored, in part, for their distinctive “tiger eye” rear light design, showcasing a perfect blend of form and function.

• The HX40A features Yanmar 4TNV88C diesel engine with a vertical, water-cooled 4-cycle direct injector. It has a net power rating of 37.7 HP (28.1 kW).
  
• AUXILIARY HYDRAULIC FLOW-Auxiliary hydraulic flow is adjustable through the 5-inch LCD cluster.
  
• ANGLE DOZER BLADE FLOATING-Blade height is automatically adjusted by turning on dozer blade float function.

• 5-INCH FULL-COLOR LCD MONITOR-The Hyundai HX40A features a 5-inch full-color LCD monitor with IP68 rating, providing operators with clear and comprehensive information for efficient machine control and monitoring during operations.
• HEATING AND A/C SYSTEM-The HX-A mini excavators comes equipped with an integrated heating & air-conditioning system, providing a comfortable working environment inside the cabin in all climate conditions.
• ERGONOMIC CONTROLS & SWITCHES-The left and right control levers are ergonomically located for convenient access. Pilot operated hand levers are easily accessible for controlling the dozer blade. Easy-to-access control switches on the left side console improve operating comfort and productivity.
• CAB ENTRY-A tiltable left-side console allows the operator easier access to the cab. A safety lock system is designed to prevent exiting the cab while hydraulic controls are live. When the safety lever and left side console are positioned upright, hydraulic functions are disengaged.

SERVICEABILITY

• Hi MATE TELEMATICS-Hyundai Hi MATE telematics now available on all HX-A series mini excavators for a 5-year standard subscription.
• COWL DESIGN IMPROVEMENT-Cowling on the HX-A series has been completely redesigned so all panels are openable.

SAFETY

• AUTO-SAFETY LOCK-If the operator accidentally releases the safety lever while the RCV lever is engaged, our excavator's safety system prevents unintended operation. This ensures that the excavator is not controlled by the RCV lever and prevents potential accidents.
• LED LIGHTING-The HX-A series is equipped standard with an LED boom light.
• EXCELLENT VISIBILITY-Hyundai engineers updated the cab designs to provide more space, a wider field of vision and more operator comfort.
• Optional Rearview Camera-The HX40A comes with the option of adding a rearview camera for increased safety and visibility on the jobsite
